Sampled, described, and integrated 475’ of whole core with log and seismic data from the Smackover Formation in southern Arkansas.
Planned and executed drilling of eight wells in the Williston Basin, incorporating well log and seismic data.
ExxonMobil, Houston, Texas 2012-2021
Characterized risk and uncertainty through integrated planning, geosteering, and post drill analysis of 50 wells as Lead Operations Geologist while providing backup geosteering interpretations for over 60 additional wells. Integrated petrophysical and geophysical data in identifying and executing exploration and development opportunities.
Project lead on subsurface storage of produced gas from Bakken wells. Headed weekly meetings including representatives Engineering, Land, Legal, Operations, and management.
Influenced potential legislative changes in North Dakota to reduce methane emissions from operations. Meeting with and presenting to representatives from several departments and government agencies.
Performed geologic and economic evaluation on assets valued over $750M and presented business recommendations to Divestment team. Led divestment and portfolio optimization, integrating data from Geology, Engineering, Land and Accounting.
Generated accurate maps and plans for steering 45 Bakken and Haynesville wells with zero sidetracks. Integrating well logs, 2D & 3D seismic, coordinating with engineers, drillers, and management.
Increased reserves and extended resource limits by mapping and proposing 30 conventional and 12 unconventional infill and extension prospects northern Louisiana, east and central Texas, and North Dakota.
Led planning and implementation of 3 cutting-edge fiber optic exploration wells investigating fracture gradients and propagation in Williston Basin, ND.
Oversaw coring for 430’ whole core in Williston Basin. On site during entire coring process, logging, core extrusion, plug sample selection.
